Attention teachers, educators and parents
“Archive in an Envelope” Activity Packets for Students
Delaware County Historical Association is offering free history activities for NY teachers and educators in the West of Hudson counties and New York City. The “Archive in an Envelope” activity packets will provide students with facsimile copies of historic documents from the museum’s archives pertaining to the creation of the reservoirs in Delaware County. Students can use the documents to answer questions about the Cannonsville and Pepacton reservoirs, including the reasons for their construction and the objections voiced by locals.
These activity packets are free to teachers, homeschoolers, and educators, and are available through a grant funded by the Catskill Watershed Corporation. “Archive in an Envelope” is suited for children in grades 7 through 11.
To order your packets, call or email DCHA at (607) 746-3849 or dchadelhi@gmail.com
